Our Balsamic Vinegars

Our Traditional Balsamic Condimento is made in Modena, Italy, using the centuries old Solera method. It is aged up to 18 years in wood barrels to produce a rich, complex taste. Our flavored vinegars are made with either the Traditional Balsamic or a 12-year-old White Balsamic and naturally infused with fruits and berries, citrus, peppers, even chocolate and coffee. The word balsamic comes from the Latin "balm" which means to heal or relieve.

Modern studies have shown that balsamic vinegar has many health benefits:

  • It contains polyphenols that inhibit oxidation of the "bad" LDL cholesterol that can block arteries.
  • It contains antioxidant properties that help destroy the free radicals responsible for premature aging, heart disease and cancer.
  • It contains polyphenols that stimulate pepsin activity. This aids in digestion and makes it easier to repair and build cells.

Balsamic vinegar adds a lot of flavor to any dish without packing in too many calories. Substitute it for fatty dressings and mayonnaise.

Dark Balsamics:

Blackberry-Ginger Balsamic  -  This lovely balsamic is blended with sweet blackberries and spicy ginger to create a versatile condimento that is perfect on spinach salad. Make a reduction and drizzle it on roasted pork, pancakes or scones. It pairs perfectly with our Persian Lime Olive Oil.

Black Mission Fig Balsamic  -  Deliciously rich and bursting with juicy fig flavor! Excellent on poultry or lamb or drizzled over goat cheese with roasted almonds. This is one of the most popular balsamic vinegars around. Try it paired with our Herbes de Provence Olive Oil.

Cinnamon-Pear Balsamic  -  This delightful vinegar is warm and spicy; perfect on fresh fruit or as a dessert topping. It is also great over roasted sweet potatoes. Blend it with our Blood Orange Olive Oil for a surprisingly delicious vinaigrette.

Espresso Balsamic  -  This aged balsamic vinegar is amazingly complex, with layers of authentic espresso and dark roasted coffee along with the sweetness of our Traditional Balsamic. It makes a fantastic glaze and base for BBQ sauce for pork, chicken, beef or tofu! Add a shot to an "affogatto float," which calls for a tall mug of vanilla ice cream covered with coffee.

Nepolitan Herb Balsamic  -  Zesty and savory, our Neapolitan Herb Balsamic will shine in a multitude of culinary applications. Made from traditional herbs including rosemary, marjoram, thyme, sage and garlic, it is beautiful drizzled over roasted as well as fresh vegetables. Try it in your next marinade, Bloody Mary, or glaze for grilling meats and mushrooms. Pairs well with Garlic Olive Oil, Eureka Lemon Olive Oil, or Blood Orange Olive Oil.

Pomegranate Balsamic  -  The intense sweet-tart flavor of the pomegranate is a perfect match for hearty meats like lamb and duck. It makes it exciting dressing whisked with your favorite oil, pomegranate seeds, toasted walnuts, spinach and feta cheese. Drizzle over poached fruit and ice cream for an elegant dessert. Try it in your next mojito or martini!

Raspberry Balsamic  -  A rich, balanced dark balsamic vinegar with the natural fresh flavor of ripe raspberries. It is perfect drizzled over a salad of baby greens with feta or goat cheese and slivered almonds. Pour it over brownies or cream puffs for a decadent dessert. Pairs well with Chipotle or any of the fused citrus olive oils.

Strawberry Balsamic  -  Delicious sweet-tart spring and summer vinegar! Drizzle on gelato topped with fresh berries and pistachios for an Italian dessert. Make a dressing for a spinach salad with sliced strawberries, toasted pecans and creamy goat cheese.

Traditional Aged Balsamic  -  Our finest grade of aged balsamic condimento from Modena, Italy is produced in the Traditional Solera Style. It is aged for up to 18 years in chestnut, oak, mulberry and ash barrels. With a 4% acidity, our balsamic is exceedingly rich, complex and dense. It pairs perfectly with any olive oil in our collection.

White Balsamics:

A-Premium White Balsamic  -  A crisp, tart vinegar with just the right amount of sweetness. Extremely adaptable, it can be used with any extra virgin or flavored olive oil we have!

Coconut White Balsamic  -  This coconut balsamic is truly unique. We have fused our wonderfully sweet, yet tart, White Balsamic Vinegar with fantastic natural Coconut flavor. The result will take you straight to the tropics and transform any fish or seafood dish in your repertoire. Try this drizzled over shrimp grilled with our Persian Lime Olive Oil. Also try it in your next fruit salad. This will be your all-time summer favorite!

Cranberry-Pear White Balsamic  -  This white balsamic is clean, crisp and very tart. It boasts a lovely, deep blush and an amazingly fruity bouquet that can be used in a multitude of dishes. Try it in a mocktail (sparkling water) or a cocktail.

Honey-Ginger White Balsamic  -  Honey and ginger play well together and bring a gentle, spicy heat which balances perfectly with the moderate, natural acidity of our white balsamic vinegar. This condiment is amazing when paired with our Persian Lime Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Japanese Toasted Sesame Oil. Mix a marinade with the vinegar, sesame oil, Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and soy sauce!

Ripe Peach White Balsamic  -  This crisp, sweet white balsamic bursts with the flavor of fresh, juicy summer peaches. It is extremely versatile and can be mixed with any of our single varietal UP Extra Virgin Olive Oils for an amazing vinaigrette. Also give it a try in sparkling water for a sugar-free soft drink alternative or a whiskey drink for a new favorite cocktail.

Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic  -  Playfully tart and pleasantly sweet, our Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic has a perfectly balanced acidity and a crisp, lemon flavor and aroma. Fabulous with seafood, in dressings or in mixed drinks. Your next salad wants this vinegar!

Other vinegars:

Serrano Honey Vinegar  -  This handcrafted, artisanal vinegar is sweet, tart, a little spicy and made from 100% honey and Serrano chilies. It is delicious and distinct, adding a whopping flavor to salads or pan sauces for roasted meats, seafood, poultry and vegetable dishes. It can be used in place of traditional grape-based vinegar. It is sulfite-free!
